Stained Glass Studio Policies
Our studio policies are designed to ensure a safe, respectful, and productive environment for all participants. Working with glass and soldering tools requires focus, care, and shared responsibility—please read thoroughly before attending.
Safety Regulations
All participants must follow instructor guidance at all times
Safety glasses are required when cutting or grinding glass
Closed-toe shoes and long pants are mandatory
Long hair must be tied back
Avoid loose clothing, large sleeves, or dangling jewelry
Proper ventilation will be used during soldering
Our first aid kit is located next to the door & our eye wash station is attached to our sink.
No alcohol, drugs, or smoking permitted, both before and during the class. You will not be allowed to participate if you are under the influence.
Working with glass involves sharp edges and heated tools—please stay alert and work carefully.
Tools & Equipment Use
Only use tools and equipment after instruction
Do not use any tool you have not been trained on
Tools and equipment must remain in the studio
Report damaged tools or unsafe conditions immediately
Follow all safety procedures when using grinders and soldering irons
Studio Cleanliness
Clean your workspace throughout the session
Dispose of glass shards in designated containers
Do not leave scrap glass on work surfaces
Return all tools to their proper place
No food or drinks in active work areas. Only clos
Materials & Storage
Materials provided are for class use only
Please be mindful and avoid unnecessary waste
We do not offer storage of pieces after a workshop has concluded. Please take all work home with you
Access to the Studio
Only registered participants are allowed in the workspace
Guests are not permitted and may not use tools or equipment
Classes are only open to adults 18+ - no children are allowed in the studio
Respectful Environment
This is an inclusive, welcoming space
Harassment, discrimination, or unsafe behavior will not be tolerated
Respect instructors, fellow students, and shared tools
Keep noise at a reasonable level - we are in a shared building
Liability & Injury
All participants must sign a liability waiver before beginning
You acknowledge the risks associated with stained glass work
Report all injuries immediately, no matter how minor
First aid supplies are available in the studio
Photography
Please ask permission before photographing other students or their work
The studio may take photos during classes for promotional purposes
Notify staff if you prefer not to be photographed
General Conduct
Follow all written and verbal instructions
Use common sense and caution at all times
Failure to follow policies may result in removal from the studio without refund
